Dirk began his professional career in 1979. He has over 30 years of experience in the areas of accounting, taxation, appraisals and valuations, operational, financial and strategic management. From 1979 to 1992 he was the controller and chief financial officer for several owner-managed businesses in several industries. Nohre & Co., S.C., began in 1991, and provides accounting, taxation, financial management and merger and acquisition services to closely-held businesses and their owners.

Dirk received his bachelor degree in business from the University of North Dakota in 1979.
