Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year 2009

This prestigious annual award is given each year by the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce at their Annual Meeting. Companies must be nominated for the award and then nominees are asked to complete an application process to be considered for the award. A winner is chosen from a competitive field based upon several criteria including company growth, community contributions, response to adversity, and future company plans. Truly an award from business peers, the Small Business of the Year award is a highly valued and respected award to receive in our local community.

Insurance Industry Specialty

Dirk leads the firm’s insurance industry team. For ten years prior to forming Nohre & Co., he served as the controller and chief financial officer for three retail and wholesale insurance groups, two of whom were among the top 100 privately-held insurance brokerages in the country according to Business Insurance. In addition to his working experience, he earned the Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter, and Accredited in Business Valuation designations.

Over the past 20 years, Nohre & Co. has provided consulting services to over 400 retail and wholesale agencies in 22 states. Dirk is a frequent speaker at industry events, company meetings, and state insurance conventions, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, South Dakota, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Nohre & Co. provides the Accounting and Financial Services hotline for the Independent Agents of Wisconsin, and was a recipient of their Industry Representative of the Year award.
